What could be better than that? Sharing the same birthday as +DealDash ... that's what!  I celebrate my 66th birthday on the same day. Now every year I get to look forward to celebrating our birthdays together ... and every year, I know DealDash will feature another wonderful birthday event. How lucky is that?

To celebrate its 4th birthday in 2013, DealDash is doing something they never did before. As soon as the cost of each auction reaches $1 no new bidders are allowed to enter. That cuts down on the number of competitors in each auction and helps to keep the closing costs down.

Did you participate in the "no jumper" event, where all new bidders were locked out after the auction reached one dollar?  If so, what did you think of it?

The $1 "no jumper" event already started and I bid on about 10 products, but so far I have had no wins. This event does, however, appear to cut down on the competition.

Last year, on Feb. 23, 2012, I had better luck.  I won a 55-inch Toshiba TV that retails for $1,399 for less than $30. That was the best birthday gift I ever received and a very exciting moment I will never forget!

My friends had a surprise birthday party for me and wanted to play games.
I said, "Forget the games. I want to play on DealDash!" 

My friend Trish saw the 55-inch TV and said, "Oh, bid on that! If you win that nice, big TV we could all have movie nights at your house!"

I said, "Ok, but I doubt I can win it because I'm sure everybody and their grandparents will bid on that!"  I placed my bids in BidBuddy, the automated bidder, anyway, and rejoined my party.

After a little while, my friends said, "Now let's have cake and ice cream and then you can open your presents."

I said, "Forget the cake, ice cream and presents. I just want to see how I am doing on DealDash!"  Just as I jiggled my mouse and brought my computer back to life, a big "Congratulations!" flashed across the screen.  I could hardly believe my eyes because I just won the 55-inch TV ... for less than $30.

All of us started jumping up and down like happy 10-year-olds yelling, "We won ... we won .... we won!!!!" Then I turned to my friends and said, "Wait a minute. You didn't win ... That's MY TV, not yours!"





I won this 55-inch TV from DealDash on my 65th birthday, Feb. 23, 2012, for less than $30.

Most of all, I admire the courage DealDash has to go to places where no online shopping site has ever gone before!  That is what keeps DealDash as the most fun and entertaining place to shop online.
